Meet the team
Dr Ross Whyld, BDS
Principal Dentist

Dr Ross is the Principal Dentist at People’s Dental. With over 10 years’ experience in NHS dentistry, he has a genuine passion for providing high-quality, accessible care and strongly believes in the values of the NHS.
Recognising the long waiting times for NHS treatment, Dr Ross founded People’s Dental with a simple aim: to offer private dentistry at an affordable, transparent cost, making excellent care available to as many people as possible.
Dr Ross enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has previously worked in both Macclesfield and Heaton Mersey. He graduated from the University of Manchester, where he received two academic prizes, and was shortlisted for the British Society of Advanced Dentistry Poster Prize.
He is committed to ongoing professional development and has undertaken further training in composite bonding, aesthetic white fillings, composite veneers, teeth whitening, short-term orthodontics and facial aesthetics.
Before retraining as a dentist, Dr Ross completed a first-class degree in Politics and worked as an accountant, bringing a thoughtful and analytical approach to both patient care and practice management.
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys running, cooking, painting and spending time with family, friends and his three cats.
Alice is the Practice Manager at People’s Dental. She looks after the day to day running of the practice and will be the friendly face to greet you when you come for your appointment.
Before moving into dentistry, Alice spent 10 years working as a Fashion Designer, where she managed a team and travelled internationally, including regular trips to China, to develop her collections. She made an exciting career change to co-found People’s Dental with Dr Ross, bringing her creativity and attention to detail to the practice’s branding and patient experience. Alice’s background gives her a unique approach to running the practice, combining organisation, creativity and a strong focus on patient care.

Outside of work, she enjoys being active, drawing and spending time with family and friends.
